Mom Blog #1: Not So Perfect Momma
I love ‘Not So Perfect Momma’ Blog. They give such down to earth advice about motherhood, marriage, and self-love. This mom blogger shares information about their own life experiences and gives wonderful advices from breastfeeding, to children’s holiday activities, and about marriage and keeping it balanced and healthy. One thing I love most and that has helped me from this mom blogger is the mom encouragement she gives. We, as moms, need the encouragement because at time we feel overwhelmed, stressed and underappreciated, especially at times when things are just not falling into place like we want it to. Those encouraging messages is a lifesaver for those down and out moments. I also appreciate the realness of this mom bloggers lifestyle, especially with the real live moments that’s shared on Instagram, it seems so identical to mine at times and it just feels so good to relate to another mom. Mom Blog #3: Kaleidoscope Mama
Kaleidoscope Mama is a very supportive program for new mamas. I joined their support group meetings, and at the time I was dealing with postpartum, I really needed the support. It was so encouraging to be around other moms and learn from their experiences. It was also really nice to participate in wellness activities such as meditation and other healing & self-care activities. It was with this support group that I learned that it was very important to take time for self-care as a mom because we selflessly pour all that we have to take care of our family and sometimes we serve on empty. And what good are we if we are serving on empty!?!? So taking time to replenish and refuel so that we can be the best moms we can be is vital even if its just a 10 min mini break. Kaleidoscope Mama provides support for new mamas with services surrounding birthing, postpartum & meal prep, Placentia, and lactation. The site also has resources, based in LA, that support in breastfeeding, lactation, mental health, other birth and wellness services all to support moms. Although its based in LA, you can still connect to learn more about how to get the support you need for the stages you are in as a new mom. Mom Blog #4: iMOM
iMOM is one of my favorite mom blogs I go to when I need encouragement, fun creative ideas or parenting tips. This mom blog gives daily insight and inspiration for any season you are in as a mom, such as if you are a new mom, mom of toddlers, or of elementary and tweens or teens, they have all the parenting tips you could use to help you in any stage. They even have tips for single moms, step moms, and moms who adopt their little ones, moms who are aunties or grandmas. I am a step mom and their blog have been such an inspiration to me in expanding my creativity in my parenting skills as a step mom. And as they have stated, as a step mom you don’t have those nine months to prepare for motherhood, its the day you say I do to your spouse, so any of those positive parenting tips can benefit! iMOM also provides support on marriage with topics on how to have a happy marriage, communicating with your spouse, date ideas, and intimacy info. The date ideas are my favorite! Lastly, there are lots fun activities for the whole family that you can download and print and a podcast that moms can tune in to listen to get the support they need.
